Jordon Ibe is refusing to sign a new contract at Liverpool despite the fact the deal would almost quadruple his wages.
The 19-year-old winger has been offered £25,000 per week – which is well up on the £7,000 per week the player currently earns.
However, the Sun are reporting that Ibe’s representatives are demanding DOUBLE what Liverpool have offered and insist he will only agree new terms if the Reds sanction a new deal worth £50,000 per week.
Ibe has impressed this season and broken into Brendan Rodgers first team squad after a successful loan spell at Derby County, but Liverpool would be reluctant to match his wage demands as the player has just 12 Premier League appearances to his name.
Nevertheless, it represents the latest contract row to engulf Anfield after Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel both rejected offers.
