Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has agreed to replace Manuel Pellegrini as the new Manchester City manager, according to beIN Sport.
Guardiola has found himself under significant pressure during recent weeks as Bayern crashed out of the German Cup and then suffered a demoralising 3-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final in midweek.
Current City manager Pellegrini, meanwhile, has seen his side concede the Premier League title to Chelsea, be eliminated from the FA cup by Championship opposition Middlesbrough and left humiliated by the brilliance of Barcelona in Europe.
While many accept that Pellegrini would be lucky to remain in charge after a trophy-less season, one question would always remain: ‘Who could do a better job at the club?’
A few weeks ago the thought of prising Guardiola away from Munich was inconceivable, yet beIN are reporting that ‘Manchester City reached a tentative agreement with Guardiola to become Bayern Munich coach’.
